When to Use Enough and Too

  • Enough (sufficient): after adjectives/adverbs. She's old enough to drive.
  • Enough (sufficient): before nouns. I have enough money.
  • Too (excessive/problem): before adjectives/adverbs. It's too hot.
  • Too much/many (excessive): too much water, too many people.
  • For purpose: enough to + verb, too...to + verb.
